Permitted Development
Most concrete garages / workshops do not need planning permission if they meet specific size , height , and location limits under the permitted development guidelines
Height and Position Limits
LOCATION - Must sit behind the house front wall .
HEIGHT NEAR BOUNDARIES - Maximum overall height is 2.5 metres if any part of the building is within 2 metres of a boundary line .
OVERALL HEIGHT -Maximum height is 4 metres for an Apex roof or 3 metres for a Pent roof if building more than 2m away from boundary .
TOTAL LAND USE - Garages and Workshops must not cover more than 50% of the land around the original land .
